Microbots harvesting Dew

The Microbots decided to try to build a dew harvester in Cary. We did some research about dew points, humidity, temperature and condensation. We also did some quick trial runs by digging some pits in the dirt to see if we could capture some condensation.

After researching dew points and dew harvesters, we came up with our plan.

One of the helpful websites we found was from the National Weather Service. They provide daily and forecasted temperatures and dew points so we could predict when there would be dew.

Click on the chart to find out the dewpoint in your area.

The final result

We tried several different options and had a hard time building something that stayed up during all the spring storms. It did work great for catching rain so maybe we should call it a "rain harvester" instead.
